“Refined yet relatable; personalized through layers.”

Peter has emerged a leading voice in shaping lifestyles through meaningful, high-end interior and architectural design. His work has been featured by Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, and he contributes regularly to Sotheby’s on important furniture and art.

Internationally recognized for his ability to transform spaces by harmonizing client interests with contemporary aesthetics and classical references, Peter’s portfolio is not tied to a signature style. Rather, it highlights a range of approaches unified in fresh finishes, custom upholstery, antique and vintage pieces, modern artwork and fervid dedication to quality craftsmanship. Each client experience is freshly tailored for them alone.

For two decades Peter has invested in relationships he believes in. His lifelong passion for interior design was realized upon a swift transition from a successful career as a federal lobbyist in 2012 to working alongside world-renowned architect Peter Marino.

Upon launching his own firm two years later, Sandel cultivated a vast network of design resources which help him navigate and guide his process with clients across the country and as far away as Singapore.

Peter’s impressive rolodex of contacts, many dating back to his early days on Capitol Hill remain an invaluable source of support for his thriving firm. His work has garnered the praise of a high-profile client list, consisting of Washington power brokers, top executives in business and entertainment, fashion authorities & celebrities.

In addition to work in New York, projects regularly bring him and his team to locations such as Houston, Chicago and Washington DC.  Peter lives in the West Village with his Jack Russell rescue, Barney.
