Peter Sandel
A New York interior designer shaped by art, architecture, and livable restraint.
Peter Sandel, principal of Peter Sandel Design, leads the practice from its Manhattan studio at One Union Square West. His work spans interiors, furniture, lighting, and product design, with each discipline contributing to the character and experience of a home.
The studio works across private residences of varying scale and scope, from new construction and major renovations to comprehensive furnishing-led interiors. Architecture, materiality, custom and vintage sourcing, art placement, and meticulous detail are brought together around the people who will live there.
Every project is personally directed by Peter, and the number of active engagements is intentionally limited. The studio creates residences that feel refined and collected rather than decorated, with a distinct point of view shaped around each client.
The studio’s work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Forbes, Elle Decor, and other publications covering its residential projects and point of view.
